Hello, my name is Katelin. I’m 22 years old, and I live in Miami with my cat, Tito. Throughout my life, I’ve been called a lot of things: wonderful, lovely, bitch, you name it. But the thing that has stuck with me the most was when a friend told me I had no boundaries. And that’s kind of the reason I’ve started this blog.
If there’s anything I believe in it’s that the most important things a person can have in life is a good campfire story.
For those you who don’t know, a campfire story is your go-to story. It’s the story you tell after you’ve had a couple of drinks and you’re sitting around a campfire surrounded by strangers.
It’s that one time you were robbed in France and had to convince an elderly lady to drive you to the train station in broken Franglish. It’s the time where you ate at a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere, Arizona and then had explosive diarrhea for the next two days. It’s the most uncensored, authentic experience you’ve ever had.
A good campfire story is worth the pain. It’s worth the food poisoning, and it’s worth whatever trouble you get in. Because at the end of the day, life is short. And we’re only the culmination of our stories and experiences, so why would you not try to live every day as if it were an adventure? Why would you not try to meet as many eclectic, eccentric people as possible and travel to as many places as you could. Why would you not cross boundaries of your own comfort zone?
